Doctoral students currently enrolled at AU have all rights and privileges to use library collections and to take advantage of the full range of services offered all students. After completing coursework, doctoral students are no longer considered matriculating students even if still working on a dissertation. As a result, library privileges will be reduced. In particular, remote access to online databases, e-books and e-journals will be removed. Inter-library loan privileges will also end.
Doctoral students can extend their full library privileges by registering for continuous matriculation with the Registrar’s Office. We advise students to register before the end of May to avoid expiration of privileges during the summer.
