Homecoming!
October 13, 2009 - by JessicaSo Homecoming has come and gone once again. It feels as if it was just yesterday I was saying how excited everyone was to start the process of homecoming, but once again it has passed before our eyes. This year I went to the most events and was excited to see many fresh new faces. From the athletic events, to the spirit festival, re-dedication of Woodruff Hall and even the small car show that was held in the parking lot. It was definitely a blast. My favorite was the Spirit Festival on Saturday, I ate so much food and made many different arts and crafts to help support all the organizations on campus, even took home 2 tie-dyed t-shirts from the SAB booth. They did an amazing job getting everything set up, i know how stressful it must have been but it was definitely worth all the hard work. The great thing about homecoming is getting to see family also. Even though my family could not make it down here for the weekend events I saw many of my friends families. I got to know even more people than I did before, and create an even greater bond with Adelphi, even got to see plenty of President Robert Scott here out at all the events, that is one of the best things about him. Even though school is about our hard work and dedication, it is great to see Adelphi give some relaxing relief with a week filled with fun activities and community bonding, even Garden City residents came out to support Adelphi in our new year. I hope a lot of people took advantage of the week and look forward to the many more activities the different organizations help sponsor to move this semester right along smoothly. Also good luck on Midterms!!!
